Our Team of Experts

Steve Paroda


Since joining the company in May 2016 Mr. Paroda has transformed VanAm from regional job shop to a national manufacturing company with a strategic focus on designing, engineering and manufacturing technologies that improve internal performance and customer satisfaction. During his tenure, Mr. Paroda has repositioned the company, now recognized as a technology leader; expanded the company’s customer base; and grown its manufacturing capabilities. Mr. Paroda holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, is a metal working veteran and degreed Journeyman Tool and Die Maker and has successfully managed several companies before joining VanAm.

John Cozad


John has 20 years of manufacturing experience with more than 10 years in Quality. As an Internal Lead Auditor his knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 are key to the growth of VanAm. John has prior experience traveling overseas to train and promote a culture of Quality. One of his most fulfilling accomplishments was earning the designation of Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. John is committed to providing high quality products to VanAm’s family of customers.

Matt Steele


Matt attended Missouri Western State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology/Chemistry. Matt began his professional career at EaglePicher Technologies where he designed thermal batteries for missiles, and acoustical counter measures for 5 years and then was appointed to Program Manager. Matt’s responsibilities covered program management support for primary chemistries along with energetic devices for Boeing, Raytheon Missile Systems, Government Direct, FMS, and overseas customers. After 7 years at EPT, Matt accepted a new position of Director of Commercial Operations at Detroit Tool Metal Products. Matt was responsible for growing the top and bottom line at DTMP. Matt succeeded in growing this business in little over 3 years and was a key person in the sale process of DTMP. Matt proceeded to work in the Stamping and Fabrication industry as the Director of Sales with GMP Metal Product for 3 years.
